centre activities - Jamyang Centre, London

We are a busy city centre with an active programme of events from Monday to Thursday evenings (and some Friday evenings)..

If you want to learn meditation and are a complete beginner, once a month we host an introductory evening.

If you want to learn more about the basic techniques of meditation we hold regular meditation sessions on Monday. On Thursday we hold silent meditation sessions for those who have no need for instruction and who enjoying meditating together in silence.

Geshe Tashi Tsering, who has lived with us for over 16 years, teaches directly in English and can talk freely with students without the need for an interpreter. He studied many years in India and acheived the highest geshe degree. He has a very fresh, engaging and innovative style of presenting Buddhist meditation and practice. His Wednesday evening and Tuesday evening classes are very popular and so are his teaching and practice weekends. Many of the teachings he has given at our Centre have been loaded to http://www.talkingbuddhism.com our site for free sharing of the many teachings given here over the years.

We also regularly host Yoga, Tai Chi and Chi Kung classes and occasional introductions to Feng Shui on weekday nights. We have a busy community programme which currently has regular open days, women only evenings, study discussion evenings, controversial topic discussion evenings and men only evenings.
